Carl Lee Perkins was born on april nineth of 1932 at Tiptonville in Tennessee. After short studies he works with his brothers Jay B. and Clayton in their father's farm. In the early 50's he starts a trio with his brothers. He get maried in 1953 with Val. His dream is to play at the Opry. W.S. Holland joins the Perkins brothers for the drums. After listening to Elvis's take of "Blue Moon Of Kentucky" to the radio they try their luck at Sam Phillips' studio. Three compositions of Carl are recorded in the of 1954: "Honky Tonk Gal", "Movie Magg" and Turn Around". Then Carl writes a pur rockabilly, "Gone, Gone, Gone" in september of 1955 (Sun 224) with on side 2 "Let's Your Jukebox Keep On Playing", a hillbilly title. to be continued...
